It's Important To Mix It Up

Don’t forget to mix the destiny and start cards before start using the Life Board. The cards were made in batches just to keep the process under control.

This means that all romantic cards are in the same pile, the same goes for all bad cards with physical damage and illness. If you start generating characters without mixing the cards you can get handicapped or extremely physical characters or one with a very hysterical love life.
